Changes After Construction
The building was first built as a masjid in the middle of the madrasah rooms.
The madrasah was damaged in the earthquake of 1894, became unusable in 1914, and lost its originality with the haphazard repairs carried out in 1976, and all its surfaces were covered with mortar.
The wooden narthex was renovated with reinforced concrete.
The dome of the Harim, which sits on an octagonal drum, has been rebuilt.
The mihrab was made of concrete after the removal of the central window.
In 1979, the wooden minaret was renovated by covering it with iron sheets.
