About the Person:
Seyyid Emir Ahmed-i Buhari, born in 1445 in Bukhara, was a descendant of Husayn. Affiliated with the spiritual lineage of Mahmud-i Fağnevi and Ubeydullah Ahrar, he was one of the prominent figures of the Naqshbandiyya path.
He was sent to Anatolia alongside Abdullah-i Ilahi and served in Simav before settling in Istanbul after completing his pilgrimage. In the 1470s, he turned his residence in the Fatih district into a dervish lodge and, with the support of Sultan Bayezid II, established the first major Naqshbandi center in the city.
He passed away in 1516 at the age of 73. According to tradition, a lunar eclipse occurred on the night of his death.

Prominent Features:
The tomb has an octagonal plan and a protruding mass.
It is covered with a lead-coated dome.
The facades are completely covered with marble; horizontal moldings and pilasters at the corners add movement to the architecture.
There is a small cemetery around the tomb; although many of the tombstones have not survived to the present day, the remaining stones attract attention with their line and stonework.
