Changes After Its Construction:
  • A concrete narthex was added in front in 1956-57.
  • It partially burned down in 1992 and was subsequently repaired.
Prominent Features:
  • It is also known as the “Acıbadem Mosque”.
  • It is a single-domed mosque made entirely of granite.
  • The stage has a square plan and is accessed by a few steps.
  • It gets light from the upper and lower windows.
  • Its minbar is wooden and there are no inscriptions anywhere.
  • It is a mosque with a single stone minaret and a single balcony.
  • On the left side of the mosque there is a tomb said to belong to Faik Pasha
  • There is a thin column-shaped witness at the head of the grave, but there is no writingon it.
  • Faik Pasha mansion, adjacent to the courtyard of the mosque, was used as a PoliceNursing Home in 1961 and partially burned down in December 1992.
  • There is a prayer stone leaning against the courtyard wall; it has a mihrab verse and arelief lamp shape on it, but there is no date information.
