Changes After Construction:
  • It was rebuilt in 1730 during the patriarchate of Patriarch Paisios II.
  • It underwent repairs in 1933 and 1960.
  • In the 1590s, the Patriarchate was transferred to the Aya Dimitri Church, and in 1612 it was moved to the Aya Yorgi Church in Fener.
  • It was announced that façade restoration work was carried out on the church courtyard wall by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB Heritage).
