  • The educational roots date back to 1936, originating from a 170-room wooden mansion located very close to the current school building.
  • Opened under the name Fatih Boys’ Secondary School, the school became insufficient due to the large number of students and was moved to its current building in 1959.
Prominent Features:
  • The educational institution, one of the first schools in the early Republican period serving only female students, was named Fatih Girls’ Secondary School in 1939.
  • Today, it continues educational activities as Fatih Girls’ Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.
  • The wooden mansion where the historic school began its educational activities belonged to Mustafa Asım (Mekkizade), the 100th Sheikh al-Islam of the Ottoman Empire.
