Ahmed Melek Bey

Ahmed Melek Bey, whose date of birth could not be determined, was one of the state officials who served in the late Ottoman judicial organization. His inscription describes him as Director of the Sicill-i Me’mûrîn at the Ministry of Justice.

The Sicill-i Me’mûrîn Directorate was a unit that kept the service records of judicial officials and entered appointments, dismissals, changes of duty and proceedings concerning them into personnel registers.

Ahmed Melek Bey died on Friday, 8 May 1308 in the Rumi calendar (20 May 1892), and was buried in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery.
