Cemile Sa'diye Hanım

Cemile Sa'diye Hanım, whose exact year of birth is unknown, was the granddaughter of Cemil Efendi, one of the sheikhs of the Sadiyye order. Sheikh Cemil, also known as Veznedar Cemil Efendi, was the son of Rasim Bey, who was brought to Istanbul as a captive during the Chios Revolt and later became Muslim.

Her inscription indicates that Cemile Sa'diye Hanım died at a young age. The family line of Cemile Sa'diye Hanım and her husband Hayri Bey continued through their son Celalettin, and in the Republican period the family took the surname “Altıntaş.”
