Born on 27 Shawwal 1310 (14 May 1893), Fatma Bedriye Hanım was the daughter of Ahmed Cevdet Bey, a member of the Meclis-i Tedkîkât-ı Şer‘iyye, the Council for the Review of Legal Affairs.
Her father Ahmed Cevdet Bey was the son of Gürcü Mehmed Şerif Efendi, one of the sudûr-i izâm, or high-ranking members of the ilmiye. The Meclis-i Tedkîkât-ı Şer‘iyye was a high judicial body in the Ottoman legal organization that reviewed decisions coming from the sharia courts as an appellate or cassation authority.
Fatma Bedriye Hanım died on 6 Dhu al-Hijja 1322 (11 February 1905), before reaching the age of twelve, and was buried in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery.

He is the Eternal. The deceased was born on 14 May 1893; while still very young, on 11 February 1905, the bird of her soul flew to the rose garden of eternity. May Allah have mercy on her.
