Fatma Ferdane Hanım

Fatma Ferdâne Hanım was born in 1875 and was the wife of Abdülkerim Paşa, who held important offices in the Ottoman military and civil administration.

Abdülkerim Paşa was a high-ranking Ottoman paşa who served as governor and commander of Kandiye, inspector of Tripolitania, governor and commander of Shkodra, governor of Manastır and member of the Military Inspection Commission.

Fatma Ferdâne Hanım lived for thirteen years after the death of Abdülkerim Paşa in 1913. She died in 1926 and was buried in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery.

Hacı Şayeste Hanım, born in 1854, is also buried in the same family grave. Although her precise relationship with the Abdülkerim Paşa family has not been firmly established, the possibility that she was also one of Abdülkerim Paşa’s wives stands out.
