  • Hafız İbrahim Hakkı Efendi served as a müciz dersiâm at Fatih Mosque. A müciz dersiâm was not merely a teacher but a teacher authorized to grant ijazah to students.

  • Known to be learned in Qur’anic recitation, Arabic literature, methodology, logic, philosophy and Islamic law, Hafız İbrahim Hakkı Efendi died on Saturday, 27 Shawwal 1318 (17 February 1901). His funeral prayer was performed at Fatih Mosque and he was buried in the mosque cemetery.

  • The gravestone of Hafız İbrahim Hakkı Efendi bears the signature “Mısrîzâde mahdumu Mehmed Rif‘at Üsküdârî.” Mehmed Rif‘at Üsküdârî, about whom limited information is available, belonged to the Mısrîzâde calligrapher family of Üsküdar. His signature is also found on the gravestone of Fâid Bey, who is buried in the same cemetery.
