Hasan Efendi

Hasan Efendi, whose date of birth could not be determined, was one of the late Ottoman scholars who served as mufti of Yenişehir-i Fener.

Yenişehir-i Fener is the city of Thessaly today known as Larissa in Greece. In the Ottoman period, to distinguish it from Yenişehir in Bursa, it was known as Yenişehr-i Fenâr and became one of the Rumelian cities that produced scholars, poets and Sufis.

Mufti Hasan Efendi died on 1 Rabi al-Akhir 1319 (18 July 1901) and was buried in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery.
