He is the Forgiving and Merciful. This is the eternal resting place of Hatice Hanımefendi, noble and innocent wife of His Excellency Mehmed Akif Paşa, former President of the Council of State, a generous man of dignity, honor and nobility in his age. The deceased was a person of high morals who showed compassion to the poor and orphans. May Allah forgive her sins and have mercy on her, in honor of Hazrat Hatice al-Kubra and Hazrat Fatıma al-Zehra. For the sake of Allah, Fatiha. 11 May 1891.
