İbrahim Paşa

İbrahim Paşa, whose exact date of birth is unknown, was born in Erzincan.

The Beirut Gendarmerie Command in which he served as commander was a military-administrative office representing public order in one of the Ottoman Empire’s most sensitive provincial centers on the eastern Mediterranean coast.

The period in which İbrahim Paşa served coincided with the years when the gendarmerie organization was reorganized during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II. With the regulation of 1888, gendarmerie regiments and battalions spread through the provinces became more clearly defined.

El-Hâc İbrahim Paşa-i Erzincânî died in the years 1322 in the Hijri calendar and 1320 in the Rumi calendar (1904) and was buried in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery.
