İsmail Nejat Rüştü Zorlu was the elder brother of Fatin Rüştü Zorlu, one of the diplomats and politicians of the Republican period. After Galatasaray High School, Fatin Rüştü Zorlu studied law and political sciences in Europe; after various posts in the Foreign Ministry, he served as Minister of Foreign Affairs during the Democrat Party period and was executed after the coup of 27 May.
