Mehmed Bahaeddin Bey was one of the senior clerks of the Criminal Affairs Office of the Ministry of Justice. The term “hulefa” referred to the experienced clerical group working in writing and procedural affairs in the offices of ministries. Mehmed Bahaeddin Bey’s duty places him among the office officials concerned with criminal affairs in the late Ottoman judicial bureaucracy.
Mehmed Bahaeddin Bey died on 6 Shawwal 1323, corresponding to 4 December 1905, and was buried in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery.
