Mehmed Hüsameddin Bey

Mehmed Hüsameddin Bey, whose date of birth has not been identified, was the son of Mehmed Burhaneddin Bey, who served in the late Ottoman civil bureaucracy.

The Me’mûrîn-i Mülkiye Commission in which Mehmed Burhaneddin Bey served was one of the central bodies concerned with the appointment, transfer, dismissal, promotion and personnel records of state officials. In 1896 the Me’mûrîn-i Mülkiye Commission replaced the Sicill-i Ahvâl Commission; after the Second Constitutional Period this structure was abolished and the Sicill-i Ahvâl Department was re-established within the Ministry of the Interior.

The Vukuat Office was one of the offices that followed changes and personnel movements in the careers of civil servants. “Mümeyyiz” referred to the senior official level within an office responsible for checking writing, records and procedures.

No detailed information has been identified about Mehmed Hüsameddin Bey’s own life. He died in 1325 in the Hijri calendar, corresponding to 1907, and was buried in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery.
