Mükerrem Ünsiye Hanım

Mükerrem Ünsiye Hanım, whose date of birth has not been identified, was the wife of Said Paşa, former governor of Kengırı Sanjak. Kengırı is one of the names used for Çankırı in Ottoman sources; in the Republican period, the city’s official name became Çankırı.

Said Paşa and his family lived in Çankırı during his governorship of the sanjak. After he was dismissed in 1868, they returned to Istanbul.

No further information has been found about Mükerrem Ünsiye Hanım’s life and family. She died on 11 Rabi‘ al-awwal 1326, corresponding to 13 April 1908, and was buried in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery.
