Sami Bey

Sâmi Bey, whose date of birth and family information have not been identified, was one of the officers who served in the Ottoman army with the rank of lieutenant. Mülâzım referred to the junior officer level in the Ottoman military organization and was used in two degrees, mülâzım-ı sânî and mülâzım-ı evvel.

His grave in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery stands beside that of Captain Fevzi Bey, and the gravestones were made in the same form. This is noteworthy, but the existing information does not show with certainty that the two military men were connected by kinship or by service in the same unit.

Sâmi Bey’s date of death and detailed information about his life have not been identified. His grave is located in the Fatih Mosque Cemetery.
