Restoration work was carried out to remain faithful to the original.
However, changes have been made to the narthex to suit today’s conditions, and it has been covered with plastic joinery.

It is claimed to have been built during the reign of Mehmed the Conqueror, but according to the information in the Istanbul Encyclopedia, Evliya Çelebi does not mention a mosque from the period of Mehmed the Conqueror. Similarly, it is not mentioned in the book “Fatih Devri Mimarisi” (Mehmedian Era Architecture).
It has a plastered minaret made of stone and brick.
The minaret has a leaded conical cap.
In front of it is the Süleyman Ağa Fountain, dating back to 1856. The mosque is also referred to as “Ebu’l-Feth Mosque” (Father of the Conquest Mosque) in the fountain inscription.
