Born in Kütahya, Fenayi Ali Efendi became a member of the Celvetiyye order by being a student of Sheikh Selami Ali Efendi and after receiving his permission, he established a lodge in Manisa.
He then returned to Istanbul and became the sheikh of Selami Ali Efendi’s lodge in Üsküdar. He participated in the Prut Expedition of 1711 as the army sheikh.
In 1714, he had a lodge built in his name in Pazarbaşı and continued his guiding there. He contributed to the method of the order with his interpretations and practices on the Celveti crown (headgear). At his death, his flag and banner were placed in his coffin and erected at his head. He used the pen name “Fenayi” in his poems.

It has a rectangular plan and an octagonal tomb structure.
It has masonry walls, a wooden roof, and a slight dome on the inside.
Inside is the wooden coffin of Fenayi Ali Efendi.
The flag and banner used in the Prut Expedition are present on the coffin.
There is a depiction of the Kaaba on a large tile dated 1062 (1652) placed on the wall of the tomb.
There is a 10-arm chandelier given as a gift by Zeynep Hanım.
The hand mill of Fenâyî Ali Efendi is preserved in the tomb.
