Changes After Construction:
  • The mosque was completely burned and destroyed in a great fire in 1928.
  • The present mosque was rebuilt in 1964 at a different location than its former location.
Prominent Features:
  • The mosque has a square plan with a single minaret and a single balcony.
  • The mihrab is covered with tiles and decorated with marble details.
  • The minbar and the preacher’s pulpit are made of wood.
  • The interior of the dome is decorated with classical Ottoman motifs and calligraphy.
  • The exterior has simple architecture, but the interior has a more ornate aestheticconcept.
