Changes After Construction:
  • The school was opened under the name Ravza-i Terakki in a two-story wooden mansion on Tabutçular Çıkmazı.
  • Following the death of Halil Rüştü Bey, the school management was transferred to the Committee of Union and Progress in 1910.
  • Dr. Hüsnü Şakir Bey, from the board of trustees, purchased the building; in 1927, he donated the building along with its furnishings to the state.
  • The school operated under the name Otuzuncu Okul from 1927 onwards.
  • The name of the school became Kızlarağası İlk mektebi in the 1949–1950 academic year.
  • The school took the name Halil Rüştü Bey in the 1951–1952 academic year; in 1953, it used the name Halil Rüştü İlkokulu.
  • Education continued in the wooden building at the same campus until 1964; on 24 December 1964, education and training continued in a new building constructed by the state within the garden.
