While the building was a masjid, Hacı Abdurrahman Bey had its minbar installed.
It is recorded that it was largely renovated in 1887 and 1959.
In 1965, with the help of the public, the mosque was completely renovated except for its minaret and pedestal; the walls were built with thinner rubble stone, and the narthex was added.
- Prominent features
The mosque has a square plan, its mihrab and inner wall skirtings are made of white marble, its minbar and preacher’s pulpit are made of wood, and its ceiling and women’s gallery are made of concrete.
Its roof is covered with tiles. The stubby, single-balconied minaret adjacent to the right wall is accessed from inside the mosque.
On the right corner are the mosque graveyard and the Haraççı Fountain.
