Prominent Features:

  • Built of cut stone, the tomb has a block-like appearance with a nearly square layout.
  • It is covered by a dome set on an octagonal drum.
  • On the lower level, there are pairs of rectangular-framed windows; the upper level features three pointed-arch windows on each face, arranged in two tiers.
  • The entrance is on the south side, centrally located within a rectangular frame, flanked by two octagonal columns.
  • The interior is simple, with storage niches on some walls.
  • Some sarcophagi are enclosed with wooden railings inlaid with mother-of-pearl.
  • Two distinct periods of painted decoration (kalem işi) can be observed in the interior.
  • The tomb is connected to the Hatice Turhan Sultan Tomb; the gap between the structures was later filled in with brick, integrating the two.
