Changes After Its Construction:
  • It was first built as a dervish lodge/tekke.
  • It was changed into a mosque in the 19th century, and the women’s gallery, narthex and minaret were later added.
  • It was restored in the 1980s and then repaired again in 1993.
  • It underwent extensive restoration between 2015 and 2018. During this process, the building was strengthened, its courtyard was expanded, and its minaret and interior spaces were renewed.
Prominent Features:
  • It has a rectangular plan and has a meşruta (Imam’s lodging).
  • The masonry walls are reinforced with stainless steel plates.
  • The narthex, Harim and mihrab sections have been renovated through restoration.
  • The minaret has a single balcony and is made of brick and cut stone.
  • There is a cemetery in the courtyard with tombstones from the 18th and 19th centuries.
  • The fountain and retaining wall in the mosque courtyard were restored and their original details were preserved.
