Changes After Its Construction:
  • Its first restoration was carried out in 1898.
  • The mosque, which fell into ruin in 1941, was repaired again in 1966.
  • Restoration work was started by Üsküdar Municipality in 2023.
Prominent Features:
  • Also known as the Mirahur Mosque, the building has a square-plan, masonry structure; its walls have a cut stone appearance.
  • It has a wooden roof, a marble-covered mihrab, and a wooden minbar.
  • The base of the single-balcony minaret is made of cut stone, its top is brick, and it was later plastered with cement.
  • In the courtyard of the mosque are the Başkadın Fountain, Ibrahim Pasha Levelling Building and a charity stone.
  • Opposite the mosque is the Ayşe Sultan Darülkurra and a school built by the mosque’s owner, Mihrimah Sultan.
  • The centuries-old plane tree and alms stone surrounding the mosque are also among its important elements.
