Changes After Construction

  1. The building was constructed in 1904 by the Agios Tryphon Society as a Greek primary school.

  2. Also known historically as Taş Mektep (Stone School), the building continued to be used for educational purposes as a Turkish school in 1923.

  3. After remaining unused for a long period in the second half of the 20th century, it was restored in 2012 and took its present form.

  • Although the historic building has undergone some changes, it has largely preserved its original architectural characteristics.
