  • It underwent extensive restoration in 2019. During the restoration, a ship painting thought to belong to Hasan Hüsnü Pasha’s ship was unearthed within the mosque; this painting was taken under protection and preserved to be exhibited in the narthex.
Prominent Features:
  • The mosque, which is a square-plan, cut stone structure, has a wooden roof and is covered with lead. It has a construction system with a hidden dome on the inside, which is a rare architectural practice.
  • The minaret is located on the right corner of the mosque. The qibla faces the Golden Horn and on the left, past the park and green areas, one can see the Eyüpsultan Dock.
  • The mosque is accessed by two 14-step staircases on the right and left. The staircases meet at a small porch, from where a visitor can reach the entrance with a wooden door.
