Changes after its construction
It burned in 1818 and was revived by Sultan Mahmud II.
It burned down again in 1915 and was rebuilt with the money bequeathed by HacıAhmed Efendi.
Prominent features
It is also known as “Sultan Mahmud Mosque” and “Hacı Ahmed Mosque”.
The walls are made of masonry, and the roof is made of wood.
It has a single minaret, and it is built of bricks.
The mihrab is covered with tiles.
