It was completely renovated by Ahmet Pasha in 1712.
The minaret of the mosque and the adjacent school were built by Hacı Ibrahim Agha, one of the prominent figures of the army.
Over time, it has undergone repairs and restorations many times and has lost much of its originality.
It is stated that the building originally had an Ottoman style, but due to the restorations it has undergone, it has taken on a more modern appearance today.

It was built on a total land of 220 square meters and has a prayer area of 105 square meters.
It has a square plan, stone materials and a brick roof.
It has a single-balcony minaret and is adjacent to the mosque.
Inside, there are hand-drawn plant motifs on the windowsills.
The gilded rose motifs on the mihrab are interesting.
On the corner of the street opposite the mosque, there is the Köprülüzade Ahmet Paşa Fountain, which dates back to 1732 but is not currently active.
It is also a touristic spot as it is located on Kazancı Hill, one of the most well-known slopes of Beyoğlu.
