Changes After Construction:
  • The complex was damaged in the fire of 1782; there is a record of damage in the tomb section.
  • In the assessment dated 1869, the madrasa was in use.
  • The primary school attached to the complex was destroyed in the 1894 earthquake.
  • The complex was partially ruined in the Uzunçarşı fire of 23 July 1911.
  • In the assessment dated 3 January 1919, the madrasa was being used by fire victims.
  • A restoration was carried out between 1943 and 1950.
  • Today, the upper part of the madrasa courtyard is covered with a plaster ceiling and a lean-to roof; the ground is concrete.

Prominent Features:
