Changes After Construction:
  • The inscription dated “Year 1311” above the tomb door shows that the lodge underwent reconstruction or renewal on that date.
  • After 1925, the structure remained neglected.
  • The two-storey wooden meşrutahane disappeared in 1965 through a demolition carried out without official permission.
  • The lodge structure has not survived to the present day; the plot retains the well-kept tomb and a small remnant of wall.
  • The structure was allocated by the Directorate of Foundations for the use of a foundation.

  • It is also known by the names Perşembe Lodge, Akşemseddin Lodge, and Muhyi Efendi Lodge.
  • The lodge is affiliated with the Resmiyye branch of the Qadiriyya order.
  • Sheikh Mehmed Şemseddin Efendi endowed his house and garden as a Qadiri lodge in 1788-1789.
  • Sheikh Mehmed Şemseddin Efendi died in 1812 (Hijri 1227) and was buried in the tomb belonging to the lodge on the side facing the road.
