Moda Mosque
Changes After Its Construction:
- The mosque inscriptions were written by calligrapher Hamid Aytaç in 1982.
- The building has undergone various restorations over the years and its interiordecorations have been preserved and updated.
Prominent Features:
- The mosque is also known as the "Gülbahçesi (Rosarium) Mosque" because it was builton rose gardens.
- Its walls and dome are reinforced concrete.
- The mihrab is covered with tiles, the minbar and the preacher’s pulpit are made ofmarble.
- It is a building with a single minaret and a single balcony.
- Its interior decor features hand-drawn details and calligraphy.
- The patterns and stained-glass windows inside the dome add an aesthetic atmosphereto the mosque.
