- Changes the building has undergone since its construction
It underwent extensive restoration in 2005-2006; during this process, it lost some of its originality. A cultural center was also added to the mosque during the restoration.
While it had a squat minaret with white plaster before the restoration, a new minaret with brickwork and a muqarnas balcony was built with the restoration.
- Prominent features of the mosque
It is a building with rubble stone walls and a wooden roof. The small minaret on the right was renovated with brickwork and a muqarnas balcony during the restoration.
The tomb of its benefactor, Münzevi Süleyman Effendi, is located in the mosque’s graveyard.
There are rumors that the mosque belongs to Mimar Sinan.
With the cultural center added during the restoration, the mosque today functions not only as a place of worship but also as a cultural hub.
