Changes After Construction

  1. The mosque was built on a cellar during the reign of Bayezid II.

  2. It was damaged in the İshak Paşa fire on June 3, 1912 and became unusable.

  3. The mosque, which remained in ruins for a long time, was repaired with the contributions of the public.

  4. In 1962, the portico, which was previously wooden, was rebuilt with reinforced concrete.

  • Its single-balcony minaret was built using one row of cut stone and one row of brick.

  • Its benefactor is buried in the tomb in the İdris Pavilion above Eyüp.
