The southern building was first used under the name “52. School”; it took the name “Ihlamur” in 1952 and “Selim Sırrı Tarcan” on 10 July 1958.
An independent middle school was opened within Nilüfer Hatun Primary School in 1957; the number of institutions on the campus increased to three.
In the 1990–1991 academic year, Nilüfer Hatun Middle School, Nilüfer Hatun Primary School, and Selim Sırrı Tarcan Primary School were merged; the institution functioned under the name “Nilüfer Hatun Primary Education School.”
In the 2012–2013 academic year, the institution was again separated into two as “Nilüfer Hatun Primary School” and “Nilüfer Hatun Middle School.”
