Changes After Construction
It was repaired in 1896 and 1897.
During the Republican period, the prayer section was expanded.
During this expansion, a second minaret (with two balconies) was built; the original minaret had a single balcony.
Damage caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes was repaired.
The inscriptions on the mosque and the fountain in the courtyard have survived to the present day.
