Changes After Construction

  1. It was built in 1651 by Reis ül-Küttab Ömer Avni Bey.

  2. The grave of Ömer Avni Bey is in front of the mihrab of the mosque.

  3. The mosque became unusable as a result of a fire in April 2007 but was later repaired and reopened for worship.
