Changes After Construction
It was built in 1651 by Reis ül-Küttab Ömer Avni Bey.
The grave of Ömer Avni Bey is in front of the mihrab of the mosque.
The mosque became unusable as a result of a fire in April 2007 but was later repaired and reopened for worship.

Also known as Kabataş Mosque
It is a mosque with a roof and a wooden ceiling. It has a short minaret on the right side.
The interior is very bright, simple and spacious.
The minbar is made of wood and the mihrab is covered with tiles. During cold winter days, the inside of the mosque is heated by central heating systems that are turned on at the time of the morning prayer.
