Changes After Construction
The structure was initially utilized as the Mirgün Girls' Middle School (İnas-ı Rüştiye) and was later converted into a primary school.
From 1934 onwards, the building served as a middle school for a long period, and as of 1992, it began to be used as a high school.
It underwent repairs following a fire in 1978 and was reopened for education in the 1982–1983 term after an additional building was constructed on the campus.
During the 2009–2010 term, a repurposing/reorganization project was implemented; the gym on the ground floor was adapted into a multi-purpose hall, and the main entrance doors on the northern facade were re-functionalized with reference to their original use.
Since the 2010–2011 term, the institution's name has been Özdemir Sabancı Emirgan Anatolian High School.
