The structure was initially utilized as the Mirgün Girls’ Middle School (İnas-ı Rüştiye) and was later converted into a primary school.
From 1934 onwards, the building served as a middle school for a long period, and as of 1992, it began to be used as a high school.
It underwent repairs following a fire in 1978 and was reopened for education in the 1982–1983 term after an additional building was constructed on the campus.
During the 2009–2010 term, a repurposing/reorganization project was implemented; the gym on the ground floor was adapted into a multi-purpose hall, and the main entrance doors on the northern facade were re-functionalized with reference to their original use.
Since the 2010–2011 term, the institution’s name has been Özdemir Sabancı Emirgan Anatolian High School.

The main entrance doors on the northern facade of the structure were restored to use, drawing inspiration from their original design.
A spatial layout was implemented for the gymnasium on the ground floor, allowing it to be partitioned and used as a multi-purpose hall when necessary.
The classrooms on the first and second floors were reorganized to improve spatial usage and comfort conditions.
Records for the structure indicate a planning period in 2009 and an implementation period in 2010.
