Changes After Construction:
The church underwent repair/renewal in 1925.
The structure deteriorated over time; with the 1925 repair, it was made usable again.
Within the complex, there was formerly a school function serving the Greek community.
Prominent Features:
The church belongs to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Istanbul.
The structure is dedicated to the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary (Evangelistria) in the Christian faith.
The worship space is covered with a barrel vault; the covering systems and structural elements used in the interior are of wood.
The bell tower is above the courtyard gate on the northern facade; the tower is approximately 4 m high and has a rectangular plan.
The bell frame has a lattice arrangement; it is completed with a spire and a cross.
There is a water well within the complex.
Today, the congregation has lost its former density; on days of worship, it prefers the nearby churches.
