In 1895, the main building was raised by one story and expanded.
The northeast blocks were built in 1906, and the northwest blocks in 1907, forming the current main layout of the campus.
As of the 1976–1977 academic year, boarding use ended and the school transitioned to a day-school system.
The structure was registered by the decision dated June 19, 1981.
It was resolved by the decision dated June 18, 2008, that the protection group of the main high school building be determined as Group I.
By the decision dated January 3, 2019, blocks I, J, and K of the structure were also registered as cultural property requiring protection and were designated as Protection Group II.

The campus is defined by a U-shaped mass arrangement opening toward the sea.
