Changes After Construction
The mosque, which had been neglected for many years, underwent extensive restoration in 1953.
The building, which was originally domed, was converted into a flat ceiling and roof during this restoration.
When the borders of Cerrahpaşa Hospital were expanded in 1981, the mosque remained within the hospital garden.
It was restored in 1981-82, remaining true to the restoration carried out in 1953, and its concrete walls were preserved.
The narthex, whose foundation remains are still present, has been revived.
In 1983, a marble fountain with eight taps, eight columns and a cone-shaped roof was built.
