Person in the Tomb
This tomb contains the graves of four sons and one daughter of Sultan Murad III. They died at a young age, likely due to a plague outbreak. In accordance with dynastic tradition, they were buried adjacent to their father’s türbe.

Featured Highlights
Octagonal exterior with a square interior; the floor is covered with hexagonal bricks.
Built of cut küfeki stone and covered with a dome.
The wooden main entrance door is decorated with interlaced geometric laths.
Interior walls lack tiles and calligraphy, but feature 19th-century black-and-white floral and ribbon-themed painted decorations.
During the 2006 restoration, original rumi-patterned malakari decorations above the windows, 16th-century tomb coverings (puşide), prince garments, and fragments of the Kiswa (Kaaba cover) were revealed.
The tomb houses five sarcophagi and is notably modest compared to the other türbes in the Hagia Sophia complex.
