Changes After Construction
In the mid-18th century, the lodge became affiliated with the Jerrahi order and served this order until the end of its activity.
Sources also state that the lodge was commissioned in 1758 by Sheikh Mehmed Emin Efendi in the name of his father, Sheikh Abdullah Efendi.
With the closure of the dervish lodges and zawiyas, the lodge function came to an end after 1925.
The lodge structure has not survived to the present day; a road now passes over the area where it once stood.
With the parceling carried out after the 1918 fire, the lodge cemetery was relocated; the small number of remaining graves were left by the roadside.
The cemetery section, in work completed on 7 April 2023, had its walls renewed and was enclosed with iron railings; the gravestones were cleaned by mechanical and chemical methods.
Featured Highlights
The structure also bore the names Salı Lodge, Nureddin Lodge, and Kumrulu Lodge.
The name “Salı (Tuesday) Lodge” was used because its dhikr day was Tuesday.
The lodge was located directly opposite the entrance of the Nişancı Mehmet Pasha Mosque.
The first sheikh of the lodge was Sertarikzade Abdullah Efendi.
