Changes After Construction
The Cibali Fire of 1782 left the lodge in ruins.
After the plot of the lodge became vacant once again, it was revived in 1856 (Hijri 1273) by Edirneli Sheikh Seyyid Muhammed Sıdki Efendi.
After the fire of 31 May 1918, fire victims were settled in the lodge.
The roof of the tevhidhane, whose maintenance had been neglected, collapsed in 1932.
The meşruta was demolished in 1977, and with its site turning into an empty plot, the integrity of the lodge was weakened even further.
Reconstruction works began in 2018; with the completion of construction in 2022, the structure was brought back to life.
