Changes After Construction
It is assumed that the church existed before the 19th century.
Official records state that the building was repaired in 1839.
It was restored during the patriarchate of Hagopos Seropyan and reopened for worship in 1858.
Because the aging wooden structure had become dangerous, a new construction permit was obtained in 1891, and the church was rebuilt.
The opening of the rebuilt church took place in 1892.
The most recent restoration was carried out in 2012, and the building was reopened for worship.
