Changes After Construction

  1. It was repaired in 1835.

  2. Because of the coastal road built in 1955, the building was cut off from the sea and remained inland.

  3. It was rebuilt in stone in 1962; its architect was Yetvart Şahbaz, and the building was consecrated and opened for worship in 1964.

  4. The most recent restoration was carried out in 2006, and the church was reopened for worship by Patriarch Mesrob II.
