Changes After Construction
In 1831, an application was submitted to Mahmud II for the construction of a new church.
It was damaged in the 1894 earthquake and was renewed.
During the years of the First World War, it was used for military purposes.
In 1927, it was rebuilt from the ground up and reopened by Mesrob I Naroyan.
It underwent repairs in 1987.
It was repaired in 2000 and reopened for worship by Aram Ateşyan.
