Its minbar was built by Safiye Hanım, the daughter of Kazabadlı Osman Efendi, who died after being dismissed from the Kaaba.
It was destroyed in the great fire that occurred in 1918.
In 1955, with the help of the public, it was rebuilt with a reinforced concrete flat ceiling and a narthex was added.

It is also known as the “Debbağ Yunus Mosque”.
The interior area of the mosque is 130 m².
Previously having rubble stone walls and a wooden roof, it has undergone various repairs and renovations and has taken its current form.
Its mihrab and minbar are made of marble, and its pulpit is made of wood.
There is a muezzin’s gallery and a women’s gallery.
The tomb of Debbağ Yunus, the founder of the mosque, is located in the narthex.
There is a Quran course for men next door.
