Changes After Its Construction:
It was repaired and enlarged in 1952.
The surrounding walls were repaired in 1982.
It was expanded in 1989 by adding an addition to its left side.
Prominent Features:
It is also known as “Çivizade Mosque”.
It has a square plan, masonry walls, and a tiled roof.
There is a maqsurah on each side of the worship stage.
Its minaret with iron railings and a single balcony is built of brick, and the door of the minaret is in the maqsurah on the left.
The narthex of the mosque, which is accessed by stairs, has a roof and is concrete.
All the walls are covered with paneling from the floor to the bottom of the windows, and the other parts are covered with tiles up to the ceiling.
There are 3 long windows on the right wall of the Harim (Prayer Hall) and 2 on the mihrab wall.
The ceiling and minbar are made of wood, the mihrab is made of marble, and the preacher’s pulpit is covered with tiles.
The women’s gallery has 6 wooden pillars and its exit is from the narthex.
Naqshbandi sheikhs Abdülhay Efendi and Abdülaziz Efendi are buried here.
